What to Bring to Your Appointment

1. A referral from your GP or specialist

2. Medicare card

3. Health insurance details, or Veterans card if applicable. If you have had a work injury, bring your Claim Number and Insurance details

4. Most x-rays and scans are now accessed electronically. At the time you book your appointment, please let our receptionist know the name of the radiology service(s) where you have had any imaging tests done. This allows us to check availability of images (not just the report) before you attend and can save a lot of time during your consultation. Although well intentioned, radiology services rarely are able to 'send' the imaging to our doctors. Without access to imaging it may not be possible to give you advice about your hand problem.

5. Payment for your consultation

If your first language is not English

Please consider asking a relative or friend who speaks English fluently to accompany you. For complex problems or work injuries, please discuss with us whether an interpreter needs to be booked for your consultation.
